Enough is Enough – really?

I have been reading/watching news, listening to my family and friends about their views on these terrorists, reading the forwarded emails and sms and the words. What I want to say is that the words  “Enough is Enough” to Indians not the terrorists or our Government.

Anyone reading this is thinking that I am a India hater or a Fanatic Muslim or a Indian living abroad, then the answer is no I am not. I am born a  Hindu and would die a Hindu. To be true, I don’t give a shit about what religion I am. You might ask why is that? well because I have not seen God, but I have seen many kind individuals in my life so far do so much for me or others. I believe in God because someone did make us and I also sometimes pray, but that said I value human relations more because when in trouble I do not see God in front of me, I only see human beings and some may say GOD put them there but who cares I saw a Human being and that the bloody truth whether you like it or not.

I have never done anything in my life to enhance life of others or something charitable. I plan to do these things.. just like everyone else does.. but till now I have never done anything. This does not give me the right to speak about others and complain, but if every other person is doing it, I think even I can.

This blog post is in response to what everyone thinks about this situation and about who is responsible. I came about this article yesterday (Link: http://thelede.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/11/26/tracking-the-mumbai-attacks/?ref=asia ) If you scroll down on this linked page you would see some comments against India.

I have so many questions in my head that I do not know how to put them here. I would still try to make an attempt in a hope someone agrees with me.

Terrorists killed people in Mumbai bomb blasts, 1993 bomb blasts, recent blasts in Delhi and Gujarat. it was not taken seriously. With recent attacks in financial centre, everyone seems to be talking. I don’t get it, why was such high level of activity by all of us not taken earlier? If not then, why now?

I am not complaining about what people are doing, this is good this is Democracy and People’s Government and this is what we should be doing. Writing about it, so often that it becomes difficult for anyone to forget and only then a change happens. But would this solve any problem. Is there any dumb person forwarding emails and sms not knowing about the present state of Israel? They are developed have great intelligence but still so many attacks. If someone becomes free from sending emails, they should try to sit silently and this why the world is so wrong before sending a message about anything that could create more hatred.

Do we throw and kill our family members if they do a mistake? If kids don’t learn or rob something do parents kill them? It’s very easy to bomb a country, hate others, hate a specific religion but nothing provides a solution. The great America tried hard, and so did the terrorists. And that’s why when the terrorists got a chance, they hit them hard and killed around 3,000 people belonging to so many countries in few seconds.

We humans are expanding in all levels from science, space technology, medicines but the one thing that should had been easy i.e. Human Relationships seems to have become one of the hardest things to improve upon.

We are crying about 180-190 people, I am really sorry for them but what about the people dead in Riots in Mumbai and Godhra, the massacre of Sikhs? Does anyone still remembers how many died there?

We simply get up and ask ourself why did these Terrorist not kill the politicians and why just us? The answer is if politicans were killed we had stayed home and laughed, but now since people among us are dying we are finally started taking action. This is democracy where we can change what we don’t like, its people’s government and when next time Indian Government, Politicians or Military attacks anyone or kills anyone, don’t just sit and think “oh poor guys but what can we do, its our Government” because it’s not our Government it’s actually us who are doing wrong.

The only once we need to blame is ourselves about how a civilization that created great things like Indus valley, the world’s first university, who was so rich in culture and heritage has become to what we are now?

Finding the culpirts and killing them is not the end, we should make sure we make noise like now every single time, people from minority caste our killed and many other things that happen in India which we know and ignore.

At end, the problem is not the world or the terrorists or our Government, the problem is just US.

Google is simply great

There are so many IT companies. Microsoft, Yahoo, Google, etc. But the only company that seems to be constantly improving in the fastest possible way seems to be Google followed by Yahoo.

Google recently launched a feature in Gmail that would prevent drunken emailing. LOL!. As funny as it sounds, people have to habbit of calling others when they are drunk and speak crap. With invention of email they also email others when they are drunk and regret later. The new maths feature activates only late nights on weekends because that’s when people are most drunk.

Apple Iphone in India. Finally!!

I had signed up for the Vodafone and Airtel Iphone stuff a month back to stay updated on it’s launch in India. I waited for this phone from so damn long, that I wonder if I had used this much patience in any other thing, it would had been worth it. Vadofone would be selling the 8GB phone at Rs. 31,000 and the 16Gb phone for Rs. 36,000.

If the price was same everywhere in the world, it would not had been much and the phone might feel worth it, but not when its been sold at around $200 (USD) in US and few other countries. As mentioned on the macworld.com website this high price is to prevent it from becoming a mass-market product. I really don’t understand the logic. If that was the case, I wonder why Steve Jobs sold it for so low in other countries. India is a poor country or Rich i started to doubt it.

At this damn price, someone can get 3 phones from USA, ask someone to courier it to India for around $100 and then crack. If someone searches for Iphone cracks in google, the software could be easily found for under $25. With such a stupid pricing, many people will now make a living by getting cheap Iphones from US, cracking them and selling for more price.

I waited too long to get another phone, and would now search for other good options like HTC Touch which are cheaper.

Logo Ideas

I had not been well since last 2 weeks, so no posts. Also, since my bookmarks in Firefox has gone beyond managing, I finally would type in information about nice websites here in my blog, which would help me search them in future, and also other information which I might forget later on.

So for today, here is this link –>http://www.underconsideration.com/speakup/archives/003536.html

It has information on some unused logo designs, and their analysis at the end in the best possible way I have seen. I would do something like this in my free time.

Now, I am going back to work, as my 5 min’s, break is over.

My 3rd KYOB

KYOB – That’s short for Kick Your Own Butt

In freelancing this is very much required. I must be among few freelancers, offering so many services. Few days back I posted reviews on Chetan Bhagat’s 3rd book “the 3 mistakes of my life” but now my mistakes have kicked my butt.

I sometimes get over confident and plan enough. Secondly I trust people too fast and lastly It takes me great deal of KYOB to realize my mistakes.

No matter how expert you think you are, in business when you depend on another person to work with you in getting things done, there is always a big risk. I have been working with a company, which provided me programmers on a on-demand basis. I was not paying not high, but enough for a decent service. But the programmers, I guess they are the once using all the logic, but most I have known in my life, barely use logic in making a decision. Result of 2 programmers screwing up, project getting delayed, client getting super tensed and at the end, me losing money, client losing time and money both.

I wanted to expand, and this blow was on the right time, to make me realize who I work with and who I depend upon. I am creating all my plans from scratch again, and restarting every step I have taken so far in my business, to offer my client’s what I wanted to when I started my business.

As I have made more loss than I could handle from a single project, I first have to find smaller work to get money. While I do that, I would also start re-creating my plans and prices and last options to get a work done in case something bad happens. My loses have gone too high, for a person like me to manage. But more than loss, I learned a very important lesson.

Now, I will change everything related to me and by business from this very second.

the 3 mistakes of my life review

My rating – 5*5
Full rating, since I don’t think there is something which is perfect. The things that can make us feel something, I consider them perfect and that is what the books of Chetan Bhagat do.
As usual I regret reading the book at one go, since I wish it never ended and went on like Ekta Kapoor’s serialThis 3rd book touches the serious issues with care, but more than that, he puts you in a place, where it feels you are living his story. Well all good authors do that but I connect to these more as its about India. I hate hindi movies because of their endings, But I love Chetan’s books, because of the filmy endings. It gives a smile whether sarcastic or good on your face.

So my reviews in short, I positively liked and Loved his 3rd book as well.

Hope he lives a 100 years and writes books too often, or may be he should create a serial on TV and we can see it everyday.

My work, Chetan Bhagat and more

The last 3 months were the busiest months of my life. One deadline after the other, along with my own projects and websites to handle was just too tiring, but also exciting due to some interesting work, new ideas and many other things.

I recently launched Chetan Bhagat’s new website www.chetanbhagat.com. Though the site looks different than my first design concept’s but I like my work and so does my client. Chetan is launching his 3rd book “the 3 mistakes of my life” which no doubt would be the best seller again and would also be the biggest book launch in India so far. Chetan Bhagat is the only Indian author who has achieved more than any other author in India. His books is read by so many. I know very few people who have not head of him. And best part, putting my link on his website also gives me more than 20 visitors every day.

Before I forget, please find some links below and visit his website:
